The Tavern on the Harbor
offers a complete package that will make planning your
wedding a breeze. Our in-house Wedding Coordinator, who will oversee
your event, is available for unlimited consultation right up until
that “big day”.
How long can I have the facility?
5
hours. The Tavern on the Harbor only accepts one wedding a day
during the hours that are best
for the client.
Additional time is available at an additional charge.
How
many people will The Tavern accommodate?
The
Tavern on the Harbor seats up to 300 people.
Can
I use my own caterer?
Tavern on the Harbor is proud to have
Vinwood
Caterers as their in-house caterer. Now in their 28th year, Vinwood
Caterers has consistently been recognized as one of the North
Shore’s top caterers. Sorry,
no outside caterers are permitted at The Tavern.
Do you have any restrictions on other
vendors?
There are no restrictions on any
other wedding vendor categories.
Do you have
minimums?
There is a 150 guest minimum on all
Saturdays and 100 guest minimum on all Fridays and Sundays (excluding holidays).
Do you have a private bridal suite?
Tavern on the Harbor has a beautiful, private
room that is available to the bridal party for relaxing and photos.
Do you have a full liquor license?
Yes, the
Tavern on the Harbor has a full liquor license.
Alcoholic beverages may not be brought on to the premises.
The Wedding Coordinator will meet with you to discuss the
different beverage plans that
are available. Bartenders are included in the package price.
What about tipping and gratuities?
Tavern on the Harbor’s wedding package price
includes all taxes, gratuities and service charges.
Do I need to make a deposit?
A nominal deposit is due at the time
of booking. The balance
is due ten days prior to the event.
Is
there smoking allowed inside?
The
Tavern on the Harbor is a non-smoking facility. Upon request,
ashtrays are available on the outside deck overlooking Gloucester
Harbor.

What
other services are included?
We
provide a Doorman
and Coat-Check Person. We have a wonderful Outside Deck with
beautiful views of Gloucester Harbor and the Atlantic Ocean. There
is ample parking and

Can I have my ceremony on-site?
Yes you can. Please discuss this with
our in-house Wedding Coordinator.
